England’s Marco Penge and New Zealand’s Daniel Hillier are the joint leaders of a British Masters that is still playing catch-up after storms hit the opening couple of days at the Belfry.
Penge and Hillier are both on 11 under after completing five holes of round three before play was suspended by darkness at 19:57 BST.
Play will resume at 07:00 BST on Sunday and the players will remain in their round three pairings for the final round.
The weather is forecast to be largely dry in the morning with heavy rain blowing in through the afternoon and into the evening.
More than nine hours of play was lost on Thursday and Friday at the Warwickshire course.
Penge, 28, played 32 holes on Friday, carding an eagle, 10 birdies and one bogey. He was 11 under after 14 holes when play was halted by fading light and returned on Saturday morning to finish his second round on 10 under overall.
That was enough to hold the halfway lead by one over Hillier.
“It was pretty typical of me to have a roller coaster sort of round of golf. Luckily this one was on the right side of par,” said Penge.
The pair then headed out in round three at around 18:30 BST and they ended the day one shot clear of Northern Ireland’s Tom McKibbin, who has played six holes.
Belfast-born McKibbin, 23, who joined LIV Golf in January 2025, played all 18 holes of round two on day three, registering four birdies before a bogey-eagle-bogey finish.
